Hello and welcome to the web site of Our Lady of Mercy, the only official English-speaking Catholic parish in Madrid. Our mission is to provide the English-speaking Christians of Madrid with the ability to worship God in their mother tongue. We have people from all over the world and our parish is a family.

OLM Prayer Group
The power of prayer is infinite. And no more so than now, amid this global pandemic, do we all feel the need to pray and ask the Lord for his help and guidance. OLM has started up its own Prayer Group which meets online on the last Tuesday of each month at 8pm. This month we meet on the 24th of October 2023 at 20:00 hours CEST (not the last Tuesday this iteration). We come together for about an hour, during which we pray together, reflect on a specific scripture passage and then pray for our own intentions and those which have been sent to us. We would be delighted to welcome more members to the group. However, if you can’t make the session but would like to send us a prayer request, feel free to do just that! Please send an email to Judy MacInnes at OLMPublicEvents@gmail.com . If you prefer to keep your requests anonymous, we will of course respect that.

On Pentecost (5th June 2022) and the day OLM celebrated FHC, the dove in the stained glass window lit up just while we were invoking the Holy Spirit.
It was a beautiful, joyous, blessed, spirit-filled mass! Thank you for your prayers.

Lenten Reflection- March 11, 2023 On Saturday March 11th, Father Alex Llanera SJ led us in a Lenten Retreat, entitled Through the Eyes of Christ. Some 25 parishioners attended and we had the opportunity for both private and group reflection during the first part of the morning. After a short break, Father Alex presented a power point on The Vision of God, focusing on the Trinitarian View, The Healing View and The Crucified View. This sparked a lively discussion! We ended our morning with The Stations of the Cross, led by Nancy O, which incorporated beautiful prayers and music. Thank you Father Alex for another inspiring retreat!
