Hello again,
How are you holding up? I am hanging in there. I wanted to send you the Sunday resources but this time I will send them for ALL Sundays in July. Some of you will be going on vacation and you may wish to have them printed off before you go. I will not send them out again the following Sundays.
Streaming of the Sunday Mass will continue (some of you asked)
A parishioner wrote me the following email which may make you smile:

Dear Fr. Ron,

How are you? Hope you’re doing well.

I’m glad that some are going back to church already. Although not everyone yet because of this pandemic, and soon, most will have their vacation but still, there are some who’s coming to attend the mass.

The reason why I write a letter is because I might’ve committed a mistake last Sunday. I hurried taking all of my cash that I have to give and I didn’t even check because the collector is almost leaving. Until I realized, maybe, I included a flat battery. I wrote to tell you that I’m sorry and it was never my intention, Father. Maybe, you can include this as a funny story, someday. And if you do, make it anonymous, please. Hahaha.

Anyway. See you on Sunday, Father.

Sincerely, (name withheld)

Actually, there are batteries in the collection quite often! Also buttons, cough drops, foreign coins, and many times supermarket bills. In any event, please consider supporting your church with a bank transfer while gone. We are disbursing much of our savings to help those affected by the COVID crisis. To make a transfer (or even by using  Paypal) go to www.ourladyofmercy.info
Please pray for our parishioner CJ Muñoz who is in the hospital with a heart condition. Many of you know her from the time she ran the parish support group.
Hope you are finding some rest this Summer,
May God bless you and our suffering world,
FR. Ron

Seen This?

I had trouble with the idea of turning 30 and was oversensitive to any signs of advancing age. When I found a prominent gray hair in my bangs, I pointed to my forehead and asked my husband, “Oh no, have you seen this?”

“What?” he asked. “The wrinkles?”
