Hello again!
You will see some changes at church on Sunday. We now have automatic gel dispensers at the church entrances. Thank you David Franklin for donating and installing them! Dennis and other volunteers may still remind you to make sure to use them!
We have purchased digital thermometers, and if we have volunteers, I hope can start using them on Sunday.
This past week, Alex has been working hard with the Projector installers. As always, something unforeseen happens, so you will see some scaffolding in the church. However, it is good for us to be reminded that these improvements are not as easy as they look. We are getting there!
The Young Adult Ministry is not letting COVID get them down! Janet has sent me the following info, and I want to share it with you:
THE OLM YAM is planning a Socially Distant
Picnic
with 10ppl max for the YAM on Sunday, Sept 13th in the evening.
We will also be hosting a virtual rosary with the time and date still TBD.
You can also link to our FB group https://www.facebook.com/groups/olmyoungadults to find out
more about us.
We have had many Mass intention requests.
We remember Julie Hoare’s husband and Manuel’s father José Manuel Gimenez on the first year anniversary of his death. Many of you remember José Manuel as he often took the Confirmation photos for OLM.
We also pray for Aunt Gerry, Fatima, Expectation, Andres, Felipe, Tomás, Jacob, and Ildefonsa
We pray for their eternal rest as they are remembered with much love and affection.
By the way, there is a procedure for doing a Mass Intention, please see: https://www.ourladyofmercy.info/mass-intentions/ for more information on that.
Praying for you and the world,
Fr. Ron
Dieting Buddies
Mary announced that she was going to start a diet to lose some pounds she had put on recently.
“Great,” Sue exclaimed. “I’m ready to start a diet too. We can be dieting buddies and help each other out. And when I feel the urge to drive out and get a burger and fries, I’ll call you first.”
“Wonderful,” Mary replied. “I’ll go with you.”
