Sunday June 27

Sunday is a big day for me! I will finally (after 11 weeks) get my second dose of Astrazeneca! All priests will then be fully vaccinated!!  But I will be at church as usual, preaching and presiding. It is nice to see that things are slowly getting better. The Madrid health authorities have allowed the use of Holy Water in churches, but we will wait for a while on that.

We are still at a 75% occupancy limit and last week we were less than that. I do hope those who have not been coming may soon return.

Joe’s wife bought a new line of expensive cosmetics guaranteed to make her look years younger. After a lengthy sitting before the mirror applying the “miracle” products, she asked, “Darling, honestly, what age would you say I am?”

Looking over her carefully, Joe replied, “Judging from your skin, twenty; your hair, eighteen; and your figure, twenty five.”

“Oh, you flatterer!” she gushed.

“Hey, wait a minute!” Joe interrupted. “I haven’t added them up yet.”
