In August 2008, Our Lady of Mercy created an emergency assistance Immigrant Fund at a local bank. We wanted to make it easier for parishioners and other good people to directly deposit their donations to an account that is used EXCLUSIVELY for the poorest of our parish. Truth be told, we do not do nearly enough for those who are facing hard times.
However, we feel compelled to respond to the many emergency situations that are right in our midst. Every month, we provide a full account of where the money has been spent in our bulletin.

Where does the money go?
To provide emergency bus passes, food, and sandwiches on Sundays. We also help those who need to get in touch with family members in their country of origin.
